okay i had some new pads installed. after a while i started to develop this loud creaking noise on the passenger side rear wheel whenever i slowed down. well i looked at the pad and it had this black piece that looks like should protect the pad from part that holds it. it was all crinkled up and actually kept on there because of how hot it got. all the other brake pads have them and no creaking. only this wheel. so what is this little black piece? is it like an insulation or something or is something i should disregard? any help is appreciated because im going back to place tomorrow and see what is up but i dont want to look that stupid. thanks for any replies!
