  • ABS INOP light

Yesterday my ABS INOP light came on. I pulled over, turned off the car, started it back on and it was off. 5 minutes later it came back on. When I got home I turned the car off and restarted it and again it was off.

Is this some sort of malfunction? Or are they screwed? Any clue how much it could cost to fix them or what could be wrong with it?

mine never came on when my pads were worn, but it came on in a frind of mines, and he had to replace the abs thing on one wheel, i don't think it's that expensive, but i'd have it checked out. good luck

Well I'll be damned, it was only on for that one day and then it stopped.

I told the insurance company about it thinking maybe it messed up from slamming my brakes so hard when i got in the accident a few weeks ago

but now the light is off and they can't help me :( watch it come back on as soon as it's fixed

abs module will store a history of trouble codes, just like the pcm. dealer can still pull codes and see what was wrong.
