  • what is the most effective mod to increase traction in the rear suspension?

I just want to know cuz I don't have a ton of cash, but i'm getting wheel hop and it's sucking. Should I get a torque arm, lca's, panhard rod, sway bar, or bushings? I'll be putting in Lsd and 255-50-ZR16 tires on in the next few weeks. Thanks for the help

First get a TA poly bushing. Very cheap and stops some of the slack you have in the TA. TA itself you don't need unless you're running 11s. Just get the bushing for now and see if it helps. LCAs help alot. That would be my next step if bushing doesn't work. With those 2 mods you should be good.

LCAs help a lot and arent too expensive.

you are getting wheel hop with an open rearend now?

yeah, a little. I know it'll get worse once the 255-50 Z-rated tires go on. Just wanna take care of anoyances before they turn into problems.

          Hotchkis boxed trailing arms
          Hotchkis pan hard rod
          (basically the rear suspension package)

the torque arm i'm looking at is the trac-link setup. BTW, I'm just looking for 1 mod that wil get me the most traction for my buck.

I hate wheelhop! just put the kumho's on today. great traction, in fact too much, even though I haven't installed lsd yet. after they warmed up a bit, i floored it against a GTP w/ exhaust and intake and I got wheelhop off the line. Pissed me off. so I should get LCA's first, or a torque arm, or a panhard rod?

                  LCA's first
Then pan hard to completemnt it.
Torque arm is not needed yet.
I'm still on a stock one
If you had the spare cash sure why not but not worth it for what you want

After I installed my BMR LCAs and brackets, I didn't get anymore wheelhop. I'll hold off on the panhard rod unless your rearend is wayyy off centered due to lowering.

LCAs are like 100 bucks. TA is like 300+. The LCA will make a noticeable improvement. I run 315 nittos and BMR LCAs and have NO wheel hop when going straight. it gets a little crazy going around turns sometimes though :D

i dont see how a PHR will help straight line either.
