  • Rear brake rattle..

Anyone ever have a problem with rear brake pad rattle? Is there a shim i forgot to reinstall? The clips springs on top are just really loose. this problem is only on the drivers side rear. All the other brakes are fine

Are you sure it's the pads and not the caliper or it's mount?
If the pads are loose, maybe the caliper piston is stuck in the "open" position. Re-bleed the system. If that doesn't work, try rebuilding the caliper. I don't recall seeing any shims when I rebuilt my calipers and put new pads in a few years back, but I could be wrong. Unless, it's listed here are part #17.
Anything with the caliper housing or mount is basically easy; just re-tighten the bolts.

Im positive that the calipers are tight and not sticking. If im going over a rough road you can here the pads rattling in their bracket. When I apply the brakes all the noise stops because the friction between the rotor and pads are causing the pads to sit tight against their bracket when the brakes are applied. I think im gonna just try a new set of pads in the rear.
