i used to drive for pep boys and they were one of the people we delivered to, IMAO they just seemed like sheisters, just my opinion though.

My money is that once you get in there, they find "other" problems. They tried to tell my wife that her whole brake system was shot once (It just needed to be bled). They're scam artists (at least the ones in my town are). I'll never take a vehicle to Midas. Ever.

Do the brake pads yourself, you'll save money in the long run.
It's my personal opinion that places like Midas buy pads so hard and abrasive that they never do wear out. Instead, they wear on your rotors, which conveniently _aren't_ covered.
Yet another vote for doing your own pads with something better. It's not too tough.
