• will these rims slow me down?

i was thinking about getting the 5 spoke chrome c5 replica or firehawk wheels. Will these slow me down, if so how much?

Definately get the 17's instead of the 18's, and yes, they will slow you down. How much with the 17's and normal tires? It depends... but... say... .2 in the the quarter?

Don't forget about the guys w/ the 15" steel wheels. I hate those. Luckly I don't have those. I think they're only 7" wide. That's gotta suck.

If it is heavier then it will slow you down.
If it has more rolling resistance (wider) it can slow you down

Don't bother with 17's or even replica's for that matter.

Wait a while and save up for some lighter weight 18's. The difference in apperance is WAY more noticable and you'll be happier. ;)
