I have new power slot rotors and new ceramic pads and the brakes still feel spongy. I never liked the braking in our cars. I'm thinking a two (or more) piston caliper might help. Suggestions or comments??

I second that motion...if you still have the stock rubber lines in, they will swell everytime you press the pedal and make the brakes feel spongy.

Thanks for all the replies. I think Advanced Auto parts wants an exchange for their calipers. From what I understood from them, they are basically the same as the stock ones, but I'll have to check again on that. If not, I'll probably go with Robert's suggestion for the two piston ones and what pilotlite said about the lines and fluid. The car only has 23,000 miles on it. In comparison to my Cavalier though, the brakes suck. The cav stops on a dime and easy to control, the Camaro is not... and sometimes I even have bad dreams about the brakes being screwed and causing an accident (so that's not a good sign). If I was made of money like some of you guys are I would go with C5 brakes... if not at least 98+
my 94 stopped real well with new rotors, 4 wheel disc, and hawk pads... Then I got my 94 which stopped just as good, maybe even slightly better with all factory original parts. I use ATE fluid as well, after boiling my stock fluid at an autocross last year. Complete flush and never had any problems since.
Compared to many racing fluids, it has a very high wet boiling point - great if you don't want to flush out your fluid on a very regular basis. I change mine once a year with a decent load of road racing and autocrossing use.
The Superblue and ATE Type 200 are both equally specced - they're meant to switch back and forth between, makes it easy to see when you've got all the old stuff flushed out.
