I've heard that you need to have the car jacked up horizontally, well I don't have access to a car lift or anything of that nature and I do not feel comfortable having the whole car lifted with jack stands. What I'm asking is, can I jack up and put a load on JUST the rear of the car and remove the bushing fairly easily? Or am I better off raising the whole car up evenly and doing it that way? While we're on the subject, anybody got any tips to make this removal, installation any easier? Thanks a lot guys!

i have a tip.. get it all the way up on 4 jack stands..
it would be almost impossible to get your TA off the rear housing if you do not jack it up..
At a minimum you need to have the rear jacked up..
and you probably wotn be able to get to the bushing w/o jacking hte front.. so..
good luck.. installing the bushing is a pita and not really worth it in my opinion..
get an edelbrock ta and do it then.. it comes with a bushing..
