Heya guys, I have a 97 that has been beat up a bit, the front suspension squeaks and rides horribly, I feel every bump on the road. And I'm pretty sure it has seen a little head on action as well as some off-roading action. I'm not sure what to replace but if you could explain the difference between Shocks Struts and Springs as well as links to which parts you suggest for a good riding, a bit better handling then stock but keeping a nice smooth ride as a daily driver, I'd appreciate it alot!

Suspension: Shocks Struts and Springs

A strut is a combination of a shock and a suspension locating arm. Third gen fbodies (and almost all economy cars) have them. Fourth gens like your 97 don't have struts, they have shocks and two a-arms.
My advice is to have a pro check for worn out parts. Replace the shocks (stock will fix problems, high quality shocks will improve the handling)and any worn out parts. No need to mess with springs.2000 Firebird convert, chameleon/tan, M5, Y87, TCS, BMR tower brace and panhard, KBDD sfcs, 245/50-16 GSCs
