with the added weight in the front, the car is going to sit lower to the ground, is that going to hurt anything directly?
will V8 take off's from slp fix that?
springs/ shocks or both?

If you're swapping to an LS1, I do't think you'll have much of a problem. It's an aluminum block, ours are cast. I don't remember exactly how much, but they don't weight much more.

The weight isn't much different no - but I would go with V8 Eibach or takeoff springs anyways. Its not much to replace to get the suspension at factory quality or better.
as far as i know/ nothing needs to be changed, im just not sure how the v8's gonna sit
but it is not expensive to get take off's or 1LE's
seems like a project that can wait till after im done :D thanx

Yeah, the weight difference between the V8 and V6 is small. However, the spring rates are greater on the V8 stock then the V6, so it'd be best to upgrade. Takeoff springs would be fine, might be good to get the shocks replaced then (for inexpensive/great shocks, I would recommend Bilsteins, I got them for $320).
