• Storing tires for the season

Ever since I put my new Borbets on, my old Flower Power wheels are sitting underneath my porch, away from the sunlight, waiting for winter so I can put them back on as snow tires.

Are there any tips to storing tires? Currently, the old tires have 30 PSI of air in them, should I deflate them a little? Any thoughts of storing my Borbets (they will be kept inside for the winter)?

I hate to TTT, but I feel this is important to myself (I won't lie ), and to other's in cold climates storing their wheels.

I also have to store chrome rims this winter.

Can anyone reccomend how to prep chrome wheels or where to store them, etc...?

I would not store them on the ground or cardboard on the ground(dampness can lead to dry rotting). Up on a plank or in a garage would be better.

I always heard you should let some of the air out, but am not sure why, and I hate to pass along information if I don't know why...
