I don't know if this is the right forum to be in for this question. I am putting it here because I think it has to do something with my suspension. My problem is that when I go hard on the gas and I shift, I get a real hard thump from my rear end. Kind of like some hammer is hitting from underneath. It happens from 1st thru 3rd when I shift hard. I am guessing that since I am lowered, my axle is hitting the bump stops. Does anyone else's car do this same thing? Or does any one know what it could be? Thanks for the replys.

mine does the same thing. thought it was wheel hop at first but im pretty sure the tires arnt breaking traction? im at a loss , but it sounds pretty violent and seems to be getting worse/ more frequent even when under moderate throttle.Comment

my guess is a bad trans mount.
most of the time wheel hop isnt just one bang, its like 5 bangs in ~1.5 seconds, kinda like a jack hammerComment

Mine was making a noise like that and I kept thinking it was the u joints but ended up being the RCA bushings.Comment

I had it, now that I think of it. I also had a bad transmission mount. Check that first, then see if you have any missing fasteners and loose parts.Comment

so i got under there and look around, everything looked normal. so i removed the trans mount. sure enough. it was broken. replaced it . and no more thump
