omg. Kumho ASXs kick ***!

These things frickin RULE so far! I've been driving them to and from work for a while now and I take it around a few untraveled roads and let me tell you.. These tires kick ***! In my Eagle GT2s I could simply mash the gas and spin like mad, but with these ASXs if I mash the gas I'm off! Cornering in these, my car feels SO much more surefooted. It used to feel light in the corners but now with the Kumho ASXs it feels like its on rails. It reminds me of a crazed marine in a war movie. You kind of just tell it what to do now and it does it - no matter how stupid it could seem.

"Go around this 90* corner like its nothing without losing speed." "Sir yes sir!"

I have to admit. These are quite possibly the best tire I have EVER used!

As for tire noise, I dont hear any.. I even drive without music and the windows down to try and hear anything and yet nothing..

Front: 245-40-17
Rear: 275-40-18

Oh I see,,I didn't know we were talking about the comparison of street tires and huge lifted 4 X 4 offroading trucks tires.

But honestly, I can't picture (hear) this 'tire noise'. Any vehicle around here with those types of tires tend to have loud exhaust/diesel engine noise that must cancel out this 'tire noise' you speak of.

Can you give an example of a street tire that makes noise?

It tends to be lower quality tires that make more tire noise.

If I were you I'd go around tirerack.com and look at the reviews it will tell you what tires have tons of tire noise. Most of the time its vehicles with larger/taller tires with bigger sidewalls.

Lets see.. Hmm.. On Eagle GT2s... Yes, easy as hell... On Continental Touring tires (which were on it when I bought it), yes, easy as hell. On a set of Kumho ASXs... No, cant do it just by going WOT..

I have not done one of my hard launches yet though, I'm waiting to do that ;)

i have these tires. they're working well for me. but i'm more interested in tire wear and stuff like that more than anything.

WHOA. 3.4s aren't that slow. I wouldn't run around talkin it up like that when several of the fastest members (Tiago, Viper, Russell, and others) are 3.4s. To be honest thats kinda weak to be like that to fellow 6ers man. Ahh well, Godspeed you insecure turds. -B

And I love how they call me the stock slow V6. So I guess that means none of em would have any problem racing my 'stock 3.4', too bad all the lame *** haters are all bench racers..
