  • Tires for new wheels help!

I just bought new silver c5 wheels..I got 17.85 for the front and 18.95 for the rear. I called a local tire place and the guy said I had 2 options for the front, 245/45/17 and 275/40/17. He said the 245 was a perfect and the best choice, the 275 was very wide and looked weird, but they were for the SS Camaro. He also said that they MAY cause some problems but its a big may. So I dunno what I should get, cuz the the wider the tire the better lookin I think.

Then he said that for the rear I'm gonna need 275/40/18 and that I won't need speedo work or anyother adjustments needed. So I looked online and couldn't find a tire that size, well the in the tire that I'm gonna get, Sumitomo HTR Z II. The sizes I see are, 265 and 285, no 275. The reason I am getting these tires is because my parent's friend is a dealer for Sumitomo so he can get me them cheap. What size tire should I get for my rear and will I need speedo work like I thought I would?

    Thanks alot guys!
