I need new tires soon and I'd like to know what brand I should look into and which ones should I avoid. I'm looking to spend around $400-500max. I'm looking to get 245/50/R16s, which are what I have right now. Someone told me I should try Kuhmo's. Anyone want to give me some more advice? Thanks.

I have Michalin Pilots on my car. They're pretty amazing although I'm sure they're going to be awful when it starts snowing out

The BFG comp t/a's, khumos, potenzas, pilots, and dunlop sports are all good tires. Just check out tirerack.com and get whichever one you like best.

How about some $60/ea Kumho 711s from Tirerack?

$240 for all 4 tires is hard to beat, 245/50.
