  • Ride height of 2'' INTRAX springs

I have a 94 3.4, and have a chance to get some INTRAX springs for an LT1 with an advertised drop of 2" for cheap.
How much will these actually drop the car?
......from searching i gatheresd that the rear will lower just about the full 2", while the front won't. I am only looking for like a 1" or so drop because i have a WW W-type ground effects goin on soon. BTW i have 18" rims if that helps. I plan on getting new shocks, koni's or KYB ADJUSTABLES, 8-way. Not into drag racing. Looking for some improved handling...with the help of a 21/19 sway setup and LT! steering rack. What do you think????
Thanks for your opinions and advice.

An LT1 weighs appx 100 pounds more than the 3.4 (depends on trans but that's a general ballpark)

If your spring rate is 300lb/in for example then the difference in ride height is going to be 1/3" roughly. Intrax spring rates are probably higher than that being that they're a 2" drop, so the difference in ride height should be even less.

so it will be approx 1 and 2/3" drop...if I follow correctly? what about the front thought because the v6 motor is set back further?

Yeah, the 100 pound weight difference is in the front because that's where the engine is. There's practically no difference in the weight between a V6 and V8 on the rear half of the car.

You'll have to look up what your spring rate on those Intrax springs is to determine the difference in ride height for the fronts. I was only using 300lb/in as an example. But yes, your thinking is correct.
