  • Sway Bar - Big Difference!?

I recently picked up a stock Z28 swaybar to replace my old one (It was cheaper than finding bushings). My car handles extremly different. I dont know if its a good thing or not. It seems that a slight turn of the steering wheel and the car just moves a bunch. Could this be the new sway bar? Thats the only thing I changed, but I mean it feels like at 50 mph a jerk of the wheel and the car is gonna flip lol. I have never felt it like this before, I dont like it at all.

    you're oversteering
you might need some stiffer springs for the new bar.
im not sure but the z bar is like 30mm-32mm in size. thats great

    stay safe, GL

did you do the set or just the fronts?

I just slapped some stock z28 30/19mm sways on my 2k and I love it... tail is a little looser and a feel of less understeer.

      I love it so far.

What year is your car and what year did the bar come off of?

            98+ v6 has 28mm front and 15mm rear
            93-97 v6 has 30mm front and 17mm rear

            93-02 v8 has 30mm front and 19mm rear.

not sure on what year SS and ws6s(I now its only certain ones) have 1le...

I went form 28/15 gto 30/19, Makes my car more prone to oversteer but i like it.

Thing is though my car doesn't feel like its going ot flip, feels much flatter... Is everything hooked up and tight? You are supposed to tighten the endlinks to specs while the car is on the ground not jacked up.

Also check your nedlinks I ripped the threads nearly all the way off on my factory ones, I replaced with poly ones.
