I don't have access to a lift and I don't have any decent jackstands, only ramps. Is it possible for me to put my own suspension on? It didn't come with any directions so I'm sorta clueless. The shops around here seem to think its gonna take like 15hrs to put it all on...ya if you walk around with a thumb in your a$$!! So instead of getting ripped off I was thinking about doing it myself. Any ideas/tips?

you will need a jack, jackstands, spring compressor, and assortment of metric sockets extensions ect, and a torque wrench to do the springs/shocks..
How much of that stuff do you have? reliasticly thats over $400 worth of tools (probably alot more if you buy nice stuff)..
You may want to consider a profesional install unless you plan on doing this kind of stuff alot..

Ya I just took it to the shop, I'm getting ready to move and just don't have enough time to even attempt putting stuff on myself. you can do the rear springs yourself fairly easily. But you need a jack and 2 jackstandsMatt
2000 Firebird

FullThrottleV6.com

why not do your own springs? its not that hard. no torque wrench needed. just takes some time and very frustrating but it can be done. took me like 4 hours to do the front drivers side spring and strut. buy then the pass side took like 40 min cause i knew what i was doing. just takes some effort
