  • where are all the bushings? how many? how hard???

    hey...
    well i've decided i am gonna try to replace all my bushings to see if i can get rid of squeaking....(from the rear)

    where are they all?
    how many are there?
    where do i get newones? (aftermarket)
    are they easy to replace??

    sorry i have soo many questions... obviously i've never done this b4

      uhhh... ok, you are beaing way to general here..

      you can buy full bushing kits from places like pst.. energy suspension and prothane..

      problem is.. those are all poly busings.. and they will squeek ALOT!

      In the rear you have bushings all over the place..
      swaybars.. lcas.. phr.. ect ect..

      they are not easy to replace either..

      find out whats squeeking.. and if its that bad... replace the part..

        it would be better if u just got new suspension pieces and had them installed, cuz the cost of the bushings, plus labor to get the pieces off, plus the cost of pressing in the bushings, plus the labor for puting them back in, is prolly the same as spending the cash to get the phr, lca's, upper/lower a-arms all new. the torque arm is easier to replace the bushing, and nothing to press in, so that would be cost-effective, as well as the tranny mount.
