  • 245/50/16's ??

Just put a set of 245/50/16's on the rear of my car a couple weeks ago.... will be doing the fronts next paycheck. anyway..... I didnt realize how friggin small those tires look in the wheel well compared to the stockers. looks like crap, IMHO. will they look better once I put new shocks and Eibach springs in and lower it slightly? Just wondering, cause while Im not really into doing appearance mods, I feel like I spent money to make my car look like crap and should have got the 17" rims.

the stock tire are alot skinnier. the 245's are not as tall but wider. skinny rear tires look stupid.

225/60/16's were my stock size. Im not talking about the width of the tire, its the height. going from a 60 to a 50 just makes the tire look to small. :(

Yep, and changing from my 235/55 to 245/50, my tires look WAY better. The overall diameter should be almost the same, just wider. What tires did you get? Maybe you got one of those ugly tread and/or sidewall patterns.
You can think of the aspect ratio as roughly 55% of 235mm for 235/55 or 50% of 245mm on the 245/50.

maybe it's just me. its just so noticeable that the rear wheels (245/50/16s') look smaller than the front (225/60/16's) at the moment, more space in the wheel wells. Im ordering my front tires now.

Sorry, I thought the Z28's and T/A's had 245's stock, sorry for not clarifying

I know exactly what you are talking about. I had 225/60/16s on the front and 245/50/16s on the back and you can tell the difference in the height of the tire. Looks kinda funny. I am fixing to move up to 255/50/16s all around and order the Eibach 1.3-1.7' drop, so maybe that will help lessen the appearance of the gap and make the tire height less noticable.
