Okay, here's the situation. My girlfriend (7yrs.) decided to wreck her Camaro. She's fine, the car not so much. Basically to make a long story short, we need a new steering rack and new tie rods. Any recomendations on where to get these parts cheap or what years are interchangeable. I am cheap and we get to keep the leftover money from the insurance check so that explains that.
I have a chance to get a steering rack out of a 98 Firebird V6. Will this work without work, I am not doing any of the labor, the shop is.
BTY, the Camaro is a tough beast. She hit a Saturn Vue hard enough it knocked it on it's side. All parties were fine and no doctor visits.
