    Searched = didnt help

    I've got a stock suspension :( and its time to upgrade.

    What kind of numbers will I actually get out of suspension? Lower 60's and ET's? Has anyone gone out with a stock suspension and compared to a modified one?

    I'm looking at UMI stuff. They are well priced. Are they durable?

    I'm looking at getting LCA's, Pan hard, and probaly a torque arm. What kind of gains will I see at the track? Noticable ET?

    I think the main focus when you do drag suspension mods is the 60'. when you drop your 60', the ET will follow accordingly. you should see gains with those mods but you can understand how its difficult to put a number on it but i would say at the most around .5

      .5 would be awesome. I'd be happy with a consitent .2 or so.

        trying to focus on the 60' like i said, i would guess maybe a gain of .2 at the 60'. look into maybe some drag shocks too.

          My car has OEM from the factory shocks.

          I've heard that they are perfect for drag racing but I think they may be to soft.

          I dont want to lower my car any, who makes some good drag springs/shocks that wont lower my car to much?

            well, i wouldnt even bother putting shprings on, just maybe look into some adjustable drag shocks. James has some and they seem to be doing real well for him. look at his 60's

                I just put my UMI LCAs a & panhard on today, they appear to be quality bars (nice yellow powdercoat too). I'm assuming you have severe wheel hop as I did with my 4L60E and 3.42s. I punched it afterwards and found it harder to burnout, period. I will have to stand on the brake to smoke 'em from here on out - which would only help with 60 times, no?

                  Suspension mods can be very helpful, but if traction is a problem for you now, don't expect some suspension mods to help. With my old setup on the TA, I ran consistent 12.1s w/ low 1.8 60s on 100% stock suspension and drag radials. I started some suspension mods. First thing I did was BMR boxed SFCs. I went back to the track and came home with a best of 12.2. Next up was LCAs. Back to the track and 12.3s, nearly 1.9 60's. I LCA relocation brackets. No improvement. 12.4s, 1.9 60s. The next time I went to the track I put a 26" ET street on the back. 11.8s, 1.60 60's all day.

                  I found that the stock suspension flexed just enough to allow the drag radials to hook. When I started to take that flex away, the DRs couldn't hold on anymore. The more flex I took away, the worse it got. Moral of the story- don't forget about your tires ;)

                    I have a freind thats letting me borrow his MT's if I go back out to the track this season.

                    I'll have a set of my own next sprign.

                    11.8 is a nice time all motor... Impressive
