  • Would this be good for an upgrade?

This is a complete set of 99'ss 1le (factory handling package) springs, sway bars, and bilstein shocks and struts $450.
This is for my 99 maro. I read that the stock springs are just enough for an upgrade from a stock z28, ss.
    What do you guys think?

This stuff new or used? If used, how many miles?

Seems kinda pricey for used 1LE stuff. I'd probably offer $250-$300 shipped, max.

It's used. Not sure on how many miles. Guessing anywhere from 80-100k. Now Bilstein are aftermarket right? Then it shoud'nt have too many miles. I'd most probably get the price down cus it's in my area and he needs to sell asap.

Probably the Bilsteins that came on the car from SLP. If there's that many miles I'm sure they need redone. Sam Strano I think revalves them.

Every part would make a nice upgrade for you. If you can get the whole package for a decent price.

Bilsteins are blue/yellow, never seen any that are red. DeCarbons are orangeish-red though.

Those fronts are DeCarbons. Not sure what springs they are and I doubt there's any way you could tell except by maybe a part number.

I have no idea what those crusty, rusty rear shocks are.

That just looks like one big mess. Based on the misinformation about the shocks I'd stay away from it. Definitely not worth the asking price.

Yeah, that's what I'll do. Just buy some new one's a little at a time. at least I know they are legit. I'll get the Bilsteins's shocks and struts first.
Do you guys have a good site to order from?
                    Thanks funkZ!

Those rears kinda look like these air shocks:

I did a quick search on eBay and didn't see any used setups right now, but you can find some there from time to time, that's how I got mine. If you buy new springs are usually around $150-$200 and the shocks are about $300 a set. A 32mm 1LE front bar with bushings is $50 and for the rear just put on a 19mm V8 sway.

I actually did some searching and found a site that sells bilsteins in packs for cheap. Might go with those. Free shipping on some too. Maybe you guys could use it too. I'm kinda iffy on Ebay. I'd be po'd if I got scewed.

^^^^ That ProAm $326 price is shipped. They add shipping to your cart but don't charge it to your card. No problems with my transaction (& love the shocks) - go for it. ~ m²
