Ok, what the heck???

OK, I have the Eibach Sportlines on my car and I just replaced the rubber coil spring pads in the rear. Just out of curiosity, I measured from the pavement to the top of the wheel well arch on both sides. Drivers is 26 1/8" and the passengers is 25 3/4". So then I measured the front. Drivers is 26 1/4" and the passengers is 26".
Why is does the pass side sit lower? Do I possibly have bad shocks or what?

Go bounce the suspension at each corner and then measure. If you just put it back down after having it jacked up, more than likely the suspension didn't settle evenly. If you drove it around the block it should settle out also.

The passenger side of our cars sits lower for handling purposes. When the driver sits in the car it will level out evening out the weight distrobution. Think about, it makes sense.

I have springtechs on my camaro, I have the exact same problem as you, my passenger side is about 1/4-1/2 inch lower than the driver side. I was wondering if my shocks were also bad....

shocks have nothing to do with ride height, at least they shouldn't the weight of the car is supported by springs, shocks just dampen rebound and compression. they take the "shock" out of a bump. Anyway I'd agree with the earlier post that our cars sit higher on the driverside to balance it out when someone is in the driver seat. I'd also say that there might be a little more weight on the passenger side in the rear with the spare and the jack there, while not quite as much in the front with the steering column and brake stuff on the driver side in the front. Anyway I digress.
