can i fit a 285/40/17 on a 17x9 ss wheel? I want a lil bigger than 275's if possible. thanks.

You can fit it no problems. There are people that have been known to put 315s on 9.5" wheels... though I would not advise that, not very safe.
285 you should be fine though. Only drawback is there are not nearly as many choices in tires when you go from 275 to 285... so tires might be a bit more expensive and the different between the two is little. [img]smile.gif[/img]
