  • What tires??

I'm looking to get new tires VERY soon. I want something with good dry weather traction, don't care too much about wet traction as the Camaro won't be the main daily driver anymore coming soon.

I want something that won't wear fast but provides very good DRY traction all-around and at least decent wet traction..

I've been looking at Kumho's and they seem to provide what I'm looking for. Particularly the Kumho ASX is looking good (i'm getting SS rims so they'll be 255/50/17)

I'm looking to keep the price for all four tires in the $400 range.

    Any other suggestions?

Why don't you go with 255/45-17 tires instead...they would be the correct sized tire verses the oversized 255/50-17.

The following would be a good tire for your requirements:

      BFGoodrich G-force Sport

I wanted good opinions, not just random ones from tirerack....thanks vracer I'll consider that. Also, how long do w-rated tires last? I want something that will last me 20 or 30k.

I've been looking at those BFG G-forces and I like them more and more. I might go with those, I just don't want a tire that will wear out after 10k.

I have Nitto 555 Extreme ZRs (not drag radials) on the front of mine. They handle VERY well, wet or dry. They seem to be lasting a while also. Not too cheap though. I beleive I paid a little under $200 each for them maybe a year and a half or 2 years ago.

I absolutely love the tires though.
