    What are the pro's and con's of different size wheel front to rear like 17's up front and 18's rear? Also will 18x10.5's fit all around on a 02 Z28?

    i think it would be bad to have 17s in the front and 18s in the back... you wouldnt be able to rotate them?

      a 17 wont be as good on handling as an 18
      but an 18 in the rear will be slower.
      as in slower acceleration.

      for acceleration it is better to have a smaller wheel.

      i still havent figured out why people run that setup. they must want alot of control in the rear or something??

      since your running a z28 I would have 17s all around!! [img]graemlins/rock.gif[/img]

        dont forget, if you have traction control a smaller wheel up front may throw off the computer because the front and back would be spinning at different speeds.

          Wheel size != tire size. You can have the same tire diameter with different wheel sizing, it's the basic practice of plus sizing.

          As for 17's on the front and 18's on the rear, it's just looks.

          Yes, 18's will handle better from less sidewall flex. But whether a tire is on the front or rear won't make a difference to acceleration - you have to accelerate the heavier wheel no matter which end of the car it's on. Though 17's will launch easier due to sidewall flex helping cushion the launch shock.

            17's are your best bet, tires arnt to bad to buy. You can rotate. THey handle better then stock and not to big to really slow you down.

              The reason I ask is that I got a set of 18" tires for free from a hook up and I was trying to decide what wheel size I should run before I make my final decision.
