Damn, I was all ready to do my brakes and bleed them. Now this ABS module thing is screwing it all up. Does anyone know if a '97 firebird has the bleeder screws on it, and if it doesnt, do you just bleed the calipers and thats it??

Just take a look at your ABS module... if you don't see two bleeder screws, then just bleed the brake calipers. Ok, I will take a look, hopefully I will be able to figure out what it looks like. I think I will rent a bleeder kit as well, theres a local store that rents them for free, you just leave a deposit while you are using it.
Geeze, I still have to get my Bilsteins installed as well. after all this though and some new tires, my ride should be riding verrryy nice and stopping well to boot.What\'s her last name? I\'ll look it up.
You know I don\'t recall. OK, I did my front brakes. I ended up not changing the calipers because I was convinced that that wasnt the reason for pulsating.
Anyways, does anyone here bleed all of the brake system after only doing pads and rotors on the front?
Do you the bleed the whole system when you do the back brakes as well whether you have discs, or drums, when you are only replacing pads and rotors, or a new drum and shoes???What\'s her last name? Bleeding is not necessary as long as the brake hose(s) weren't disconnected or you let the master cylinder get too low on fluid.
This is why a basic brake pad/shoe replacement job doesn't take more than 30 minutes at home! ;)Jason McCallister, Founder & Webmaster
West Tennessee F-Body Association, Inc.

2000 Camaro - Details
