I just purchased rear brake kit for $125. Just wanted an idea how difficult this install will be. Are there any special bits or tools that I need or that would make the job easier? Any help is appreciated.

What is included in your kit? Your either got a great deal, or you don't have everything you need. What year car are they off of?

i remember there was a site on how to do this, but if i remember right it wasn't exactly easy. i don't know about the tools you will need but it will require you to take the rearend cover off, and remove the c-clip that is holding the (can't seem to remember the name of those rods that connect the differential to the tires), any way, those will pull out and, you also have to take off the brackets that hold the drum brakes on. i think it would be pretty complicated. instead of doing this, i thought putting in a whole rear end was easier. try doing a searh on google or someting, i'm sure someone has done this on thier car, it might not be a f-fod, but a 10 bolt rearend is a 10 bolt rearend.

hope this helps, i know it's not very clear

The kit i purchased includes mounting plate, rotors, calipers, pads and e-brake connetion. I got the kit from speedautomotive.com off of a 96 Z28. They said it will come with everything needed for the conv. but I know when I changed my front brake pads I spent most of the 2 hour install time trying to find out what sort of bit I needed to remove the calipers, putting the wheels back on and waiting in line for a GM 3/8" caliper bit.
