Looking into 17" wheels and came across a set of 2002 SS wheels that are rather inexpensive. They're listed as "takeoff's". What does this mean?

Some guy upgraded wheels- no point in scrapping the nice stock ones if you can make some cash off it.AIM: escalier deverre
\'02 Pearl Blue Metallic RSX-S (daily driver)
\'98 Black Firebird
98 V6 turbocharged to 02 LS1 swap
\'02 LS1/4L60E
LS6 Block, LS6 Intake Manifold, Thunder Racing 215/220 .600/.523/115 Cam, Titanium Retainers, Crane Double Valve Springs, 125 shot NX Wet Kit w/ NOS brand Purge, True Dual \"H\" Pipe w/ two chambers and dumps, 17x11(rear) and 17x9.5(front) Black Powdercoated ZR1 Replicas on 315 and 275 BFGoodrich Comp T/A\'s (Street)/ET Drags/Skinnies on Weldlites(Track), 3.42/LSD

All takeoff parts came off a Z28 or Firebird T/A before the car was converted into an SS or Firehawk. Some parts, like the SS wheels, are simply marketed and sold new from SLP as a side income for them. They're good wheels, very lightweight for the money - I think 19lbs was the last recorded weight for the 17" SS 10spoke. In comparison ZR1s are 21lbs.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

A lot of times SLP will sell their take-offs off an SS or Firehawk that upgraded to chrome, so thats why they are cheaper. They also could have a small blem if you read the add carefully.
Also, SLP makes all the SS and Firehawk wheels. I personally think that they are worth the money but I would rather spend it somewhere else.1996 Silver Camaro, Y87, M5, cammed..
N/A Best Time: 14.012 @ 98.59
195 rwhp / 233 ft-lbs b/f heads/cam
Check out my site http://silver3800.cz28.com/
