Will 1le suspension take anymore tenths off of my et than the bmr? I also want to know if lowering the car will shave any et off?

I've heard from previous posts although I don't have any personal experience with lowering the car and ets but here goes........
Lowering your car will actually slow your car down due to the fact that since it is lower the weight transfer from the front to back of the car "squatting" will be reduced, causing you to get out of the hole slower.
As far as your question I think BMR Vs. 1LE shouldn't make a differance.

BMR is much better for drag racing i promise that much better built. 1LE suspension parts are NOT designed for drag racing. The best you can get for that is Hotckis boxed LCA and panhard rod.Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com

Stock springs, hal drag shocks, boxed lcas, a strong panhard rod. If you really get fast, a good torque arm would help as well.
Then slicks in the back, skinnies up front, and you will be good to go.
But remember, this is drag racing only.
I know over at lgmotorosports they have a set of eibach drag launch springs as well.

The 1LE components are better than stock but like Robert said they're not meant for drag racing. Hotchkis or BMR boxed LCAs are the way to go if all you care for is straightline performance ;)2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

Thanks to everyone who replied. You guys are extremely helpfull and i appreciate the replies. So should i stick with stock springs? What shocks would you all recommend for drag racing for the front and rear? Would bilstein be any good for drag racing? Is there a shock that is great for comfort that isnt to rough but also is great for drag racing?, thanks again guysLongtubes, true duals, ram air, caspers tps tec, ls1 26lb injectors, supersix powerpack, heads milled .020, comp cam .507 220/224 114 ls, forged internals and chromeoly pushrods, bored .030 over, tb spacer, tranny built with stiffer springs and kevlar bands, bigger servo, transgo stage 3 shift kit, edge 3600 stall, 1 pc aluminum ds, 3.73 superior gears, lsd rear ,custom pcm tuning, walbro 255 in tank,

james still has stock sprrings and he runs 12.4 he also has stock shocks. If u wan a great shock get the hal shocks and strutes and get the hal front drag springs best shocks out there completely tuneable to how u want themSICK-SIXX MEMBER
NA 14.345 with a 1.863 60 foot
Nitrous 13.03@99.5 with a 1.63 60 foot

2000 Camaro 3.8L A4: USE TO HAVE Comp Cam 210/220 .535/.547 113lsa 111 I/C, Port and Polished Heads, NX Wet Kit 100 Shot, CPRA made by CP, RK Sport Headers

Nope, james does not have stock shocks, he has a set of drag shocks (I know at least in the back).
For drag racing, you a suspension that will facilitate the transfer of weight to the rear (onto the wheels). That means soft shocks, as little weight as possible up front, and some strong components in back to control torque.
Bilstein or any other shock that improves handling isn't going to be the best choice for Drag Racing. Look for drag launch kits at the firebirdv6.com affiliates, I know have seen some out there. Or e-mail James, I'm sure he would be happy to tell you his setup.
