• Best rear shocks for my fbody?

My pair of rear shocks needs to be replace. The right rear shock is sagging 1 inch. :(

Best cost effective?

I too would like to know ... I autocross, but can't justify just yet a set of bilsteins or koni's or penske's ... I'm trying to decide what would be a better shock to replace JUST THE REAR on my car ... go with a $10 or $15 each shock from the local car parts store, or go with some stock (but fresh) DeCarbons.
I'm not advanced enough to tell much of a difference between turn in, etc ... but the car has c.85k miles, and it's probably due for some new shocks.
Thanks!

You would both be best to replace all 4 with some takeoff deCarbons. For $50 its the best deal going and you won't find a better lowdollar aftermarket shock for your car.

Wicked, since yours is a 97, you'll get an even higher improvement in performance since they're stiffer than what came on your car to begin with

What do you mean your car is sagging? I don't think that shocks will help your problem. I believe shocks are designed to stabilize your ride, not to keep it at a certain height. You might want to look into your springs if your car is sitting funny. Probably not a shock problem.

Like it sits lower on the right side. I figured its the shocks coz its been taking the abuse for 61k miles.
