  • e-brake conversion...

I just converted my rear brakes from drum to '98 disk (off ls1). So far the only prob I've encountered is the e-brakes. What do I need to do to convert these so I don't die. :D

Some sort of non-yours cables. Not sure if they're off a V8 or a different V6, but they need to be swapped. Check a search for "brakes after rear swap" or something. Good luck.

You need the rear cables from a disc rear end. They are different than a drum rear. It takes two cables, they run about 40 bucks a piece.

I had the same thing done. The cable pull positions aren't in the same place. The shop had to WELD a bracket on each side of the rearend. I'll try to get some pics before this weekend.
