• Right shocks for springs..

i'm going to run the sport line spring kit from eibach, and i was told that the bilstein shocks wouldnt be a good match and that koni or hal adjustables would be a better match.

    which is it folks?

This will not be much help, but i have heard the exact opposite from several people, I think even Sam Strano from Stranoparts.com says that as well.
What\'s her last name? I\'ll look it up.
You know I don\'t recall. Swim, Swammy, Slippy, Slappy, Simmons, Sommons, Swenson, Swanson?
Maybe it\'s on the briefcase.
Oh yeah! It\'s right here, Samsonite! I was way off! I knew it started with an S though!

Sportlines are very low on Fbodies and they are basically show springs. They're so effing weak that I would never run them. Putting a properly valved shock in the rear is not going to be enough, since the spring rate is actually not high enough.

If you want it to look pretty in a parking lot, thats great, but if you're after performance, get the prokit or something like that and then we'll talk shocks. There isn't a good shock for the sportline spring, and I'm sure Strano will tell you the same (but you're welcome to call him and ask!).

Ahh,Im sorry, thought you were talking about the prokit, thats the one that I have heard match up well with the Bilsteins.

Look into the G2 springs, a good size drop, and really firm. I think they are designed for more race aggressive applications though, not for show.

          1.5 front drop
          1.625 rear drop

well after hearing several bad things about the sportlines... i decided that the prokit would probably be better for autox and such?

Yeah if you're going to drive the car, much less race it, the pro kit is all you need
