i have just noticed that when my car is facing downhill and i pull the wheel to the left there is sometimes a low pitched errr sound.....its like a growling sound. IT was really happeneing alot but now doesnt happen that much. What should i do about it? What do you think that the sound is?
Thanks Eddie

would i need to top off the power steering fluid now? i checked it when the engine was cold and the level seemed right. Also the sound happens when i am pulliong the wheel left, its not the fluid pump because that sound is different but its jus this weird LOUD deep alittle vibrating sound once and awhile. It also onbly seems to happen when the car is in drive once and awhile, i dont hink its rubbing the wheel well but it sound more along the line of something that is ungreased.........you think the dealership will check this out for me for free? it is a brand new car.

Just check your wheel well for rub marks, that will answer the question easy. You dont want to over-fill your power steering fluid that can cause damage.

sounds wierd but check your tire for uneven wear
i have a tire on the front of my car that does the exact same thing that your describing and its because it has a wear spot on it that just keeps getting worse and worse
im willing to bet if you bought new front tires you would fix that problem quite easily
