Maybe an ungreased suspension piece? Could be a few things.

if it happens only when downhill, maybe its just low powersteering fluid, and maybe its sloshing around when its facing down hill or uneven in the resevior. Like when u take a turn when your low on gas and the engine stalls. same concept. hope this helps

would i need to top off the power steering fluid now? i checked it when the engine was cold and the level seemed right. Also the sound happens when i am pulliong the wheel left, its not the fluid pump because that sound is different but its jus this weird LOUD sound once and awhile. It also onbly seems to happen when the car is in drive once and awhile, i dont hink its rubbing the wheel well but it sound more along the line of something that is ungreased.........you think the dealership will check this out for me for free? it is a brand new car.

I was having the same problem with mine making the noise and it turned out the pump was failing. Also I was told you whole PS system is under more stress when the wheel is turned left. If it's the pump have fun taking the pully off
