  • Brake question

Does anyone know if the brakes from 93 and up front brake calipers will bolt on to a 1991? I am looking to up grade my brakes to make my car stop better. I put a 350 in it a couple years ago and have been upgrading it, but I need to make the brakes stronger. I have seen calipers and spindles on ebay and don't know if they will match up or not. Thanks for any help.

I honestly have no idea, but there's one way to find out...
A used caliper is kinda cheap on ebay, try one out. Post your results though. Someone later on down-the-line may be asking the same question.

No, 82-92 front suspension is much different than 93-02. 3rd Gens use a MacPherson strut assembly whereas 4th Gens use a double A-arm.

As for the brakes, you wouldn't want the 93-97 style anyway, they're not really any better than your 3rd Gen brakes. Single pot cast iron caliper and I think the rotor size is nearly the same as well, both around 10½".

        I don't believe anything is bolt-on.
