How many of you do this??? I am thinking of going to buy a torque wrench today. I know our wheels have to be torqued at 100 ft. lbs., is there anything else like caliper pins etc. that need to be torqued when we put them back on.
Not necessarily just for wheels and brake stuff, but for other minor repairs we do in our garages.

Torque everything you ever touch. Ever. Very important for the life / usability of bolts and nuts, etc.
Unless of course, your wrench is crap and doesn't read correctly left-handed. Or you can't fit it up there. Or you can't find the right extension.
:D
BTW, a good haynes, chilton's, or helm's will have every spec for every bolt on the car.

What he said! In fact, unless you are running steel wheels, you should torque them down in three step increments (35lbs, 70lbs, 100lbs). Also, always use a star pattern for lug nuts.

WickedV6 is right, torque everything. The Haynes manual is good for listing toque values for most common stuff.
On another note, when torquing down bolts, ensure you have the right surface prep. Wheel lug nuts are meant to be torqued with the bolts clean and dry. If you lube the bolts with oil (one of the Z28 guys I was racing with was doing this until I talked to him), the same torque value will stretch the bolts much further, resulting in too much force and something breaking.

Also a good idea to check the torque on the lugs after you get new tires on, or have a shop mess with your tires. My friend had new tires put on his car, and when he checked them, it maxed out his torque wrench at like 160lbs  It took me AND him pulling on his long *** torque wrench as hard as we could to get the suckers off. Oh yea, this was on a Honda that only required something like 80lbs.
That reminds me, I just had mine tires rotated, I need to borrow my friends torque wrench tomorrow and check them.

Thanks, I just torqued them all last night. It is a neat tool and i'm glad I bought it. I will need tires shortly as well.

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
