  • Yokohoma AVS anyone?

I bought a set of these hoping its better than Kumho Ecsta 712s. Anybody here tried these set before? I'd like some opinions so I would know what to expect when I put these on sometime next week.

I put those on a set of HRE's that I sold to a Corvette customer and he loved them. From most other people that I talk to with them, they are very nice.

I have been running Yokahama tires since 1989, never had a complaint about them. My current ones are Avid T4's with almost 55k miles on them.

I've ordered the Yokohama AVS ES100, hoping it isn't like Kumho's wandering on the road, following every rut until it leads you to a tree kind of tire. Although I hope it has better traction on dry and wet roads than Kumhos.

What size are they? That also makes a difference on the wandering, 215's little wander, 235's more, 245's more stilland 255's more and more.

The Avid's have great corning ability, good dry traction and so so wet traction, the AVS are much better.

            ES100s are spectacular, they're what I run.

My friend has some Yoko Peradas (sp) and swears up and down by them, I've heard they make some really good tires.

I got my girlfriend the Yoko ES100's a few weeks back on her IS300. They got good ratings on TireRack and the tread and sidewalls look good. I still like my Dunlops though. Got 52k on them and still got a good amount of tread left, compared to 58k that I got from OEM Eagle GAs...
