  • FYI: BMRs lowering brackets don't fit well at all

I'll post pics in 2 weeks. They are about 1/2 inch wider then stock ones. This means you'll have to use washers. That doesn't make for a good contact point. I might research getting another set of plates welded on the insides. I tighten mine and they are obviously now making a V and only touching the control arms at the shorter part of that V. There is like a 1mm of contact area. Not too solid. It's not touching the bushings AT ALL. Just touching the metal part of the arm.

Don't buy BMR untill they fix that problem. I know they are cheap. They don't do much research. I think they send you washers if you buy them new. I've yet to decide whether washers are a good idea.

LG Motorsports ones are stock size. Expensive though. Maybe someone can get some measurements of other brands. I'll take some once I get my pics.

There is no "problem." It's just that they are the wrong size.

It's not the mounts. Take off your stock arm and put it in the BMR bracket when you get it and you'll see about 1/2 inch of free room. The BMR brackets weld over the stock ones. Hence they are wider. All rear ends are the same. Better get some washers. I doubt washers can take much load though. And here lies my dilema.

If your lcas are seeing serious side loads, something is wrong. The Panhard should take the side load, the lcas front to back loads.

I'm not saying washers will work, I'm saying theoretically they should.

I have seen some posts on other boards that agree with Dom, so i don't think it is his car. Also, some people have had trouble when they remove them because the brackets had "squeezed" the factory mount and bent it. The control arm bushings were no longer a smooth fit in the factory position.
