I need new tires bad, 2 are completely bald except for a little tread on the outsides, the other 2 have maybe 1-2mm of tread left all around. they are 235-55-16's. first, will i get any cash toward new tires since these are the ones that came w/ the car originally, and if so, how much. second, I like the look of wider tires but can't afford vette rims and tires right now(2000 for rims and tires). which size is better for keeping speedo as calibrated as possible w/o having to get a jet scu or HPP3 yet? I know the 255's should be better for drag and 245 better for autox cuz of less sidewall(.5 of 245 is less than .5 of 255.) thanks for your help.

Completely agree with HAZ-Matt, closer overall diameter and the 255's are wider so they have a little more meat to them. I have 245/50's now and have no complaints, but next time im getting 255's

The 255's are damn close to what the 235s are, height-wise, they're what I have on now. Now, will I , and if I do, how much cash back will I recieve when I go to get new tires from sears? Are factory tires covered by the warranty? If there's no tread on them, probably nothing back. Personally I recomend 255's. They look great and are really close to the 235's I had before. Just the tires changed the look of my car and made it so much more agressive.
