I upgraded my 10.7" rotors to the 98+ 11.9" brakes. A set of 98+ spindles, hubs, calipers, hoses and rotors ran me $200 shipped off eBay.

I am curious though how much for adapters to use the same 98+ spindles and calipers just with the larger 12.8" C5 rotor.

fyi - The f-body caliper doesn't use all of the larger rotor's face, so you don't get all the benefit of going to the larger rotor. (although I would think you'd still get some of the benefit.)

then wouldnt it make sense to say there would be no improvement at all? in fact, if the new rotors are heavier, it could take longer: more spinning mass is more mass to bring to a halt.

That's why I like the full C5 conversion, including the better (stronger) C5 calipers that don't "spread" after several track days.

But even with f-body calipers, the bigger rotors probably still would act as a better heat sink to absorb (and give up) more heat without getting into brake fade.

What I don't remember is how far out the f-body pads ride on the rotor. Seems like I read they don't go all the out to the edge, so they give up the leverage advantage too... Or maybe they overhang the edge a little. Either way, I didn't like the idea of using the f-body calipers with the C5 rotors.
