  • Car isnt street driven anymore, want to set it up for an autox

well topic says it, I havent driven my camaro in months, partly because its not registered and has no insurance, BUT thats besides the point, the car is not street driven and I would like to set it up for a mild autox event coming up, I have lowered it 1 1/2 in with the eibach kit, and added a strut tower bar...if anyone knows any alignment specs that they have used or where I could find some it would be greatly appreciated...and please dont inform me of anything else I SHOULD buy, I dont have the money.

    Alignment:
    -1 Camber
    +4.5 Caster
    0 toe

Set your tire pressures accordingly, not too high or they will slide, too low and they will roll-over.

If you need more help - dgo610@comcast.net

Since it is not a street driven car, you can run more negative camber and a little toe-out.

Downside to negative camber on the street would be more inner edge wear. Downside for toe-out is dartiness on the highway. You won't have to worry about either of those... (you'll be trailering the car to the autocross?)

What tires are you running? A lower profile won't need as much negative camber as a taller profile tire.

There's a lot of autocross information on frrax.

If you can find some take-off sway bars cheap (free?) from a v8 car, that might be a possibility too.

Did you do shocks when you did springs?

            35-36mm hollow front sway (stranoparts.com).
            Decent grip tires.
SFCs will put you in another class.
            Good shock/spring combo.

The lowering will gain you some camber. Probably an extra degree over what you would get with the stock springs.
