On their tires? I currently have BFG Comp T/A HR4 255/50s, and I'm coming up on about 30,000 miles on them. I don't know if I'll be able to get another 20,000 miles out of them, but I'm going to try.
I'm planning on getting the BFGs again, unless somebody knows of something that they know for sure handle and wear better. I need at least a V-speed rating, cost is a secondary consideration, and loses importance, as the wear characteristics get better. Thanks.

The HR4's have a pretty high treadwear rating. I have the 245's on my car with about 20,000-25,000 miles on them, and they still look pretty good. I got over 50,000 miles from the original GA's on the car, and they have a lower treadwear rating then the HR4's.
I guess it really depends on your driving habits and how well you maintain the tires (pressure and rotation).
I have 47,000 on a set of Cooper Cobra's 235/55/16. But I bought the car when it had 30,000 miles and these were the tires that were on it when I got it. Are these stock tires?

No,They come with 215/60/16 or 245/45/16 Goodyear Eagles.
Depends on the packege!
I got over 60k on my GoodYear GA's, if it wasn't for an alignment problem I would've prolly got 70k+!!!! No, I don't drive like grandma.

I'm pretty sure the only upgrade tire you can get on the V6 is the 235/55/16 eagle GA touring tire. 245 is what they stick on the 8's.
I only got 15k miles on my stock eagle GAs (slicks on back and threads showing on front  . I'm at 20k miles on my bfg comp t/a 275/40/zr17s. I guess I have gone a little easier on these tires (less burnouts), but the Z rated tires are supposed to wear faster. I can still see getting another 10k out of these tires at least.

pgriffith, I had the 235s stock.
Hey Beast, how do you like the 275/40s? I'm trying to get ahold of a set of 17" ZR-1 wheels, and if I do, I'm debating whether to stick with the 255s, or go up to 275s.

you can get 255-50-ZR16's and they are only like 3/4 in. smaller in diameter than the 235-55's. I have gotten 14250 on my tires and i need them replaced bad. I have only burned out on them twice and only for like 15 seconds.
I got 38k out of my stock goodyear GA's.... Kumho's are cheap and have decent wear. I think the 716's are rated at 45k. Pretty good for 66 dollars a tire.

I know the size is stock. But is cooper the brand of tires that came on the 98's? Or did the previous owner replace them? i have cooper cobra's 235/55/16

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
