  • Post your DRAG SPRING/SHOCK setup here.

My stuff is all stock. I am needing shocks soon.. (just becuase mine have 70K on them) they still ride fine.

But I want a more drag like setup.
I am considering ust throwing a v8 spring in the RR and being done with that. Just to see.

Look for some much quicker time out of me soon!

Ajustables are nice. For drag racing you want a 90/10 setup. You want your car to lift up but come down slowly. Less hp wasted lifting, but when your not draging you can set back to normal, which is 70/30 or 60/40. They uselly go from setting 1 being the hardest to 5 being the softest.

There is more to a shock than simple hardness/softness. You have compression and rebound dampening forces to be specific, and both of those are adjustable on a true race shock.

Koni SA adjusts rebound, Koni DA adjusts both independantly of one another, and I believe HAL's are like KYB in that they have one knob to adjust "firmness" but really that controls both compression and rebound at the same time. So instead of changing the curve, you just move it up or down.

I run Comp Enginnering 3 way adjustable shocks in the rear they are grweat and only cost 40 bucks a piece. Best 60 foot on the is a 1.63 so they hook good and they also ride perfectly fine on the street as for the front it is stock.

Yep those are the ones. When i get my LS1 i am gonna get these right away. I might get some Hal's for the front with the hal springs but these are great for the rear and cant beat the price
