Brake clearance with pro stars

I'm going to be running a turbo 3.8 with tons of torque and an automatic. I want to leave off the foot brake and drums have superior holding power compared to disks when holding boost at the line. Any of you v6 guys use a weld pro star on the rear? Specifically a 15x10 with a 7.5 inch backspace......Any fittment problems? I know the PBR rear calipers need grinding, but what is the clearance with drums?

i run 15x8s with 5.5 backspacing and i had to grind the brakes and use a spacer to make it fit.

What kind of grinding? Can ya be a little more specific?

You're running rear disc brakes though. Im not sure how they fit with drums, ive never seen anyone run Pro-stars with drums.

With rear drums I would think they would fit fine with a spacer of some sort. I would check over at LS1tech since a lot more people over there run slicks and I'm sure someone with drums has them.
