  • Help with brakes please!

I just replaced my front rotors and pads 3 months ago... everything was fine but after 2 months the breaks started making noise (clicking/like beeping sound)... but when i step on brake the sounds disappeared... I don't know what is the problem, the rotors are the cheap ones from Autozone...
what should i do? i work everyday and it is hard for me to go to shop to check it out... P.S. my buddy installed them for me.

When you removed the old rotors and pads, and did the reinstallation, did you regrease the pins that all the caliper to "float"? These are the two bolts that hold the caliper to the steering knuckle. I almost always just replace these when I do brake jobs because they are so cheap and it allows movement in the caliper to keep from getting stuck.

BTW, it's BRAKES, not BREAKS. Just FYI.
