The offset will be wrong and I would NEVER trade a corvette with firebird wheels on it - that would just be ugly. Did he hate that car or something? :(

01 C5, its still NEW! What a moron, I'd keep it!

          I agree..... with the

and I think its a good idea to swap the rims.

DOn't C5 rims fit f-bodies fine? swap on and see how it looks, it will look like crap but maybe they will look like they fit the car.

If you don't do this, I'll drive out there and trade rims with your friend.
            I think it'll look kinda good...and unique.
Although, I don't know what offset is.

Yes, definetly. I love the C5 way more than the Z06 . The Z06 has an exhaust that I would want to replace, it has an engine that doesn't really make THAT much more power (LS1 can be easily modded past LS6 power), not to mention the fact the C5 has a little sound deadening inside and has far nicer wheels than the Z06... So yeah, I'd keep it.

Now, back on topic, remember the Firebird wheels are actually going to have smaller rear tire height than the C5 (26.1 vs 27") so that won't work really well. I just think its dumb to throw firebird wheels on a vette, I know if I was looking for a vette I damn sure wouldn't buy one without custom good looking or stock wheels!! Talk about a good way to lower the resale value of the vette!

Kris you can make almost anything fit with wheel adapters. Check with a local shop that can custom make some, and that way they can take measurements. I don't know the stock offsets and such of a vette so it is hard to say. I hope that helps.

id want the Z06...you can mod the LS1 to pass it BUT you can do the same stuff to the LS6 and be WAY ahead...the LS6 heads have a lot nicer port shape and are capable of more power...Z06 all the way!!!!!!

You guys are forgetting the whole suspension of the Z06, not just the power of the motor. Z06 all the way baby!

As for the rims, I am not sure, but you can pt Y2k rims on an f-body no problem right? So one woudl assume firebird rims would fit on a vette relatively well.

jsut go swap a wheel and see if it fits.
