Alright. So I am re-doing my front pads and rotors this sunday. I heard that I may want to use brake cleaner on my new rotors before I use them and the guy at autozone said I should sand them. But most others dont mention anything. So what do I do to prepare the rotors for use? Oh yeah. They are just stock flat rotors. Thanks.

They should be smooth out of the box, and only require a light cleaning to remove any oil residue.

just wipe with some brake cleaner... sanding is ususally done after turning a used set of rotors

Hit them up with some brake cleaner and you will be good to go. The only time you have to worry about "cutting" the rotors is when only the pads are being replaced.
