is it totally needed to get shock or struts when lowering? and is not what is the bad effects?

you dont have to, but its reccomended. both springs and shocks will wear out. so if you just get springs.. eventually your shocks will go bad and you will have to replace them too. so thats why its recomended you jsut do both at one time
